As of November 29, 2004 Senators Mikulski, Sarbanes, Dole and Allen and Congresswoman Jo Ann Davis have called for a DOJ investigation into FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program, its private contractors and related entities.

The request was made after hearing allegations Department of Homeland Security agents were attempting to cover up wrongdoing.

DHS has refused to provide a basis for its instruction to destroy evidence of wrongdoing.
