Flood Victim's Champion, Congresswoman Jo Ann Davis, Succumbs to Cancer

Congresswoman Jo Ann Davis (R-VA) succumbed to breast cancer after a two year struggle.

Congresswoman Davis was a fearless advocate for people across the nation who had been victimized by the NFIP. She was the driving force in initiating a number of congressional hearings. Regrettably, not all of her colleagues had the same determination to right the NFIP.

In January, Congressman Bob Ney (R-OH) was sentenced to a 30 month prison term. Ney chaired the House Committee that heard Congresswoman Davis' requests for correcting the NFIP.
